“The answer to every question you have is in this book.”
Before I came to know God personally, I found myself searching for answers. Questions about faith. Questions about church. Questions about Jesus. Questions about the horrible things people have done “in the name of God.”
So many questions where it seemed that everyone had a different opinion on how to answer.
I found myself looking for peace but could never attain it.
I was confused and wondering what's right, wrong, and in between.
A mentor and friend patted his Bible laying flat on the bookshelf as we walked by. “The answer to every question you have is in this book.”
The timing was right. The phrasing was right. The words stick with me to this day.
I began to immerse myself in His Word. I listened to old messages from Pastor Justin Dailey. I referred back to the Bible constantly. The Bible Project helped me understand context when needed. I found my faith exploding up to the point where God spoke directly to me and showed me that I was completely lacking a relationship with Him.
I am made new through Christ. Those who knew me before know that I am a new creation today because of Him.
I choose to fully surrender my life every day and be led by His Word.
